look at it this way … if a religion or a system of government tortured, murdered, maimed, silenced people … and forced obedience to certain laws to establish itself, to gain power, authority and influence in the policies and truths of mankind… then through movement and some evolving it is determined that some things are no longer accepted, allowed, in places … what is believed to be civil society …is the religion/system of government immune to repeating these same sins? these same crimes, as we hope these are now viewed. well, one would have to look at the example … the MODEL, if you will, of that system of law, religious institution. has it transformed? no. has it changed its ways? only where it absolutely had to or it would be denounced, possibly even removed. but certainly not allowed to continue the forced initiative through violent, aggressive and dangerous means. but what is to say that it won’t return to that model? if the climate grows tumultuous … if the institution/system is at risk of losing its power and influence; if its corruption, abuses and … desire of the people for something more, or, we wish … something other (even if they know not what this is or what it looks like) … was costing it members, money and attention …
what wouldn’t it do (in secret?) to keep itself on top? hereditary sin. unless you change the form, you are like your father, your master, your gods … your saints … your model. unless you expect that these masters, gods, prophets, teachers, systems and doctrines, teachings be tested … how will you know what is good, right, fruitful, safe for all? a state of wellness for the future?
