    this man deceives … his religious dogma (his church) has no such power in the Holy Spirit … these men have been deceiving the masses for centuries. a vocational priest cannot absolve sins—NOT BEFORE GOD as SPIRIT DOES NOT OPERATE IN DIOCESE LAW … he is not chosen in TRUTH … this institution has shown time and time again—it is false teaching … they have been called out on this repeatedly, but they continue to deny the truth about their prelates. they are no different from any man going to seminary and studying RELIGION … they have no special power and they carry no SPIRITUAL WORTH for these acts this man claims is of his priests …
    within their SYSTEM OF BELIEF—hell, they can believe anything … but to preach partiality is a sin in the eyes of Truth. sorry, Greg1 … you are a false prophet …

    Jim, being Catholic we have the privilege of going to Confession, and being loosed from our sins in an absolute way (see John 20:23). But without getting into why Catholic priests and bishops have the authority to forgive sins, I would just like to highlight the effects. Oftentimes when we commit a sin which offends Almighty God, those sins begin to weigh you down, and almost consume your life. The reason for that is the Devil can operate freely in a person with the stain of sin on their soul; by their sin, they have opened a door to the Devil, and the more grievous the sin, the more the door is opened. However, once a person confesses their sin, and receives the absolution of the Church, the Holy Spirit sanctifies the soul, leaving it clean and beautiful before the Father. And what you realize is all your heavy crosses, and all your temptations, have now been lifted, and you feel free. So I would encourage Eliel to seek the Catholic Faith, with the Apostolic priesthood.

    interesting …
    when someone PUBLICLY says things that are NOT true about me … which could directly hurt my WORK … what then? I don’t hide behind false names or fake titles … my name is attached to opheliart, along with my photo … and if commenters say:
    you are doing satan’s work … or,
    you are starting a new religion … or,
    gnostics are heretics … or,
    you are not catholic therefore you are living in sin … or,
    you are delusional because you believe in God …

    not good for business—right? 😉

    WE ARE A MINORITY … are we to just sit idle and allow people to bash us? tell lies about us?
    the big head of rome set the stage and stole the Writings and made up all kinds of teachings to suit their agendas, including their views on LIFE AND DEATH AND WOMEN …

    we are now able to voice without being shut down—silenced—tortured or murdered …

    and so we will voice, and if rome and those like it don’t approve—it’s not our problem.

    cheap-cheap-cheap … and look at their saint junipero serra … think people what this organization would have continued doing if people had not broken free and spoken out against the abuse—the lies—the murders … and the hypocrisy?

    and the millions waiting to hear his message? it will be on you … all that bloodlust and all those sexually abused children and those women still abused and dying in hospitals all over the world …

    such a horrible shame that people pay into and support these crimes against humanity …

    Anyone who recites and believes the Nicene Creed is catholic. This cradle “Roman” catholic is now happily worshipping God as an “Anglican” catholic, within an Episcopal church that practices Christ’s law, rather than merely preach it.

    p.s. a note to the inevitable evangelical haters on this thread, I don’t consider you to be Christian, either. Idolizing a book is no different than idolizing a golden calf.

    seriously, christianity IS A Religion, and was established NOT by Jesus, as His intent was “of gnosis” … work of the Spirit +note: no where in the Writings are we told to become a CHRISTIAN or to be of the religion of CHRISTIANITY (only: they were called christians in antioch, meaning, of the east) and The Christ is metaphor for Eternal Awareness (anointed—chosen one … remember: many are called; few are chosen …) having to do with MOVEMENT in the SPIRIT … and coming into God Awareness. christianity can be a stepping stone—sure—but it is not really a matter of who is or who isn’t “christian” … as each takes and uses the words as he pleases in his RELIGIOUS settings …

      there are those who live “culturally” catholic lifestyle, but could care less about the nicene creed. they may recite it every sunday without ever really knowing or caring what it means … they just like their parishes and those in it … maybe even their priest (God bless his lonely little soul 😉

      but it would be really, REALLY a powerful thing to know what it is you are paying into … supporting … as there has been much abuse, deception and …

      Here’s a couple of connected verses that explain it, but first, a primer on the Kingdom of God —

      … behold, the Kingdom of God is within us……….Luke 17:21

      The Kingdom of God is not in ‘word’ (scripture verses), but ‘power’ (Spirit of God in us)……it’s not food and drink but ‘righteousness’ (good works and deeds) and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit”………..1 Cor 4:20 plus Rom 14:17

      we engaged with this commenter on rns … he is young but seeking … nothing wrong with that … but in order for him to GROW … there needs to be challenge—-chastising in love (instruction)—(think of the athlete needing to improve his game). I am not the one to do this as my work is elsewhere.

    what’s the REAL deal?

    diplomacy is one thing … fear-mongering another. Elizabeth, my dear … recall the PATRIARCHS OF THE RELIGIONS WHO NEVER PERMITTED THE VOICES OF THOSE QUESTIONING THEIR FEAR-MONGERING AND THEIR POLICIES (teachings, doctrine … CONTROL OF THE MASSES)?was it not obama who did the same thing to those asking for their questions to be heard before making this deal? sounds to us like patriarchal malady all over again—staging the war from within, dear lizzie … these cannot hide the truth from those of virtual awareness … 😉

    is it okay for “your side” to overly power another and use FEAR tactics? (see those scriptural verses on man laying w/man … if you happen to believe … +this is what we’re talkin’ about)

        in the illustration of hosea and the harlot … we are addressing not an actual prostitute but a society prostituting its people—abusing rights and abusing members. if man is within drunken throes of overkill …

        debauchery, greed, whore-mongering … rape, incest … carnal instincts … and you can look at these as purely legal matters or the breakdown of the family …

        how much is too much? hosea—as prophet—was sent in to help create stability and to move man away from his patriarchal insolence …

        in the day of moses … stoning a woman is most definitely OVER kill … esp if the man having inciting her to commit adultery walks away without a scar … tsk-tsk … partiality—a big, bad no no—AND THESE ARE THE PHARISEES NOT OF THE KINGDOM WITHIN. rome is a hot bed of carnal instinct made to look ‘holy’ … it’s obvious where these men have been sleeping—for centuries (Enoch prophesied this, folks … long, long LONG ago … before any of those religions man has married himself to)

    female will begin to see, too … where she has allowed herself to be degraded and demeaned. move away from the infatuation of the flesh … why serve men who whoremonger … and who love only temporally and without awareness in WHAT you can be? fashion is fun … the body not something to be ashamed of … but those booty butts and breast implants and botox lips are a sign of insecurity … in our eyes … and it shows not love of neighbor who cannot or will not inject body with these … do you see it now? the breast—a most pure and cherished means of feeding children .. ah, but what do we see in the throes of that patriarchal malady? 😉 it looks like bad art to us … seriously … like boy has not grown into “manhood” … but it is humanity we desire 🙂

      women like Elizabeth Warren are a decent enough role model … look at her physical image—straightforward, no fuss … no ‘big’ hair or shellacked face … small framed … but a towering voice … we hope she uses it well 😀

    Ben, the Gnostics and Cathars, and Montanists, and Arians, etc. were all heretical sects within the Catholic world…all believing they were true Catholics. They never broke officially from the Church as did Luther…….and the hundreds that followed. The Church crushed these heresies and they exist no more.
    The Eastern Orthodox are Catholic since their foundational beliefs are not in error. They only do not accept the Pope as the Vicar of Christ on earth.
    Many have pointed to Popes as anti Christ’s, its a fashionable obsession of those thinking Armageddon is right around the corner……so I stand by my brief explanaon on Roman Catholic primacy of Faith.

      first of all, there are a great many differences: RC verses Orthodox (Greek, Russian …) and had he ever studied outside his patriarchal bubble … he would know this …
      second, many not in league with the beliefs and tactics of the roman church were silenced due to what?

      there is no PEACE agenda in their ideology … they rely on the poor remaining poor to survive. they will sell you to their fascism-their marxist fascism—to any odious regime … if it will keep their brotherhood of bishops in a position of power and wealth …

      Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, the highest authority in Iran, told supporters on Saturday that U.S. policies in the region were “180 degrees” opposed to Iran’s, in a Tehran speech punctuated by chants of “Death to America” and “Death to Israel”.

      Under the accord reached in Vienna last week, Iran will be subjected to long-term curbs on its nuclear program in return for the lifting of U.S., European Union and U.N. sanctions. The deal was signed by the United States, Britain, China, France, Germany and Russia.

      It was a major policy achievement for both U.S. President Barack Obama and Iran’s pragmatic elected President Hassan Rouhani. But both leaders have to sell it at home to powerful hardliners in countries that have been enemies for decades, referring to each other as the “Great Satan” and a member of the “Axis of Evil”.

      In the case of Iran, the deal must win final acceptance from the National Security Council and ultimately Khamenei, who has so far withheld final judgment, thanking the negotiators while saying the text must still be scrutinized and approved.

      In the United States, Republicans who control Congress have lined up against the deal, but Obama says he will veto any attempt to block it.

      Kerry also has the task of selling the agreement to skeptical U.S. allies in the region. Israel is implacably opposed, and Arab allies of the United States such as Saudi Arabia, ruled by Sunni Muslims, are suspicious of an arrangement that would benefit their Shi’ite, non-Arab rival Iran, which they accuse of fomenting sectarian conflict.

      The Secretary General of the six-member Gulf Cooperation Council of regional Arab states, Abdullatif al-Zayani, said Khamenei’s speech demonstrated “Iran’s continued interference in the internal affairs of some Arab countries”.

      “Those statements don’t help to build confidence for cooperative relations based on the principles of good neighborliness (and) non-interference in internal affairs,” Zayani, a Bahraini general, was quoted as saying by Saudi news agency SPA.

      Dore Gold, director-general of the Israeli foreign ministry, described Israel’s opposition to the accord as a “major disagreement” with Washington over “a central pillar of foreign policy”, but nonetheless sought to play down the rift with Israel’s closest ally.

      “All you can do in these situations is just tell your story, tell the truth,” he said, adding that the rift should be handled “in a very careful way” and with “mutual respect”.


      Hatred of the United States has been one of the underlying tenets of the Iranian ruling system since the 1979 Islamic revolution. But Iran’s nearly 80 million people voted overwhelmingly for Rouhani in 2013 on a promise to end the country’s diplomatic isolation.

      Mohammad Javad Zarif, the foreign minister who developed a warm rapport with Kerry during weeks of unprecedented face-to-face talks, defended the deal in Iran’s hardliner-dominated parliament. He said most of Iran’s conditions had been met, including so-called “red lines” set by Khamenei.

      “We don’t say the deal is totally in favor of Iran. Any negotiation is a give and take. We have definitely shown some flexibility,” the foreign minister said. “I tell you as I told the Supreme Leader, we did our best to preserve most of the red lines, if not all.”

      Iran’s Revolutionary Guards and other hardliners have started to attack the deal directly, criticizing a U.N. Security Council resolution passed on Monday endorsing it.

      They may be trying to persuade Khamenei to block the deal by presenting it as having violated the “red lines” he set, particularly by leaving in place for several years a U.N. arms embargo and restrictions on Iran’s missile program.

      Zarif told lawmakers the U.N. resolution restricted only missiles designed to carry nuclear warheads, which would not affect Iran’s conventional missile program.

      Revolutionary Guard chief Mohammad Ali Jafari said on Monday, according to Tasnim news agency: “Some parts of the (resolution) draft have clearly crossed the Islamic republic’s red lines, especially towards Iran’s military capabilities.”

      Ali Akbar Velayati, a senior advisor to Khamenei on foreign affairs, broke a long silence on Tuesday and said the deal was “not without flaws”, although he did not reject it outright.

      “No one can tell us which weapons we can have…. Except nuclear weapons and weapons of mass destruction, Iran will continue making all the missiles, fighter jets, anti-missile defense systems, tanks and other armored equipment it needs,” he was quoted as saying on the Supreme Leader’s website.
