The Cannibal Lector

March 9, 2015

Turning and turning in the widening gyre
The falcon cannot hear the falconer;
Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold;
Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world,
The blood-dimmed tide is loosed, and everywhere
The ceremony of innocence is drowned;
The best lack all conviction, while the worst
Are full of passionate intensity.

Surely some revelation is at hand;
Surely the Second Coming is at hand.
The Second Coming! Hardly are those words out
When a vast image out of Spiritus Mundi
Troubles my sight: a waste of desert sand;
A shape with lion body and the head of a man,
A gaze blank and pitiless as the sun,
Is moving its slow thighs, while all about it
Wind shadows of the indignant desert birds.

The darkness drops again but now I know
That twenty centuries of stony sleep
Were vexed to nightmare by a rocking cradle,
And what rough beast, its hour come round at last,
Slouches towards Bethlehem to be born?

William Butler Yeats (1865-1939)

My first year of college I signed up for a poetry class (Yeats and …). I ended up sitting in the class learning about the horrors of the Holocaust—video footage and all. The professor, for whatever reason, used this class for his own purposes. I had to buy two poetry books for the class. I don’t think we looked in them more than a half a dozen times. I am not angry at the man who did this. After all, he is just a man, and obviously had strong feelings about this horrendous catastrophe. I should have asked about his teaching style before signing up for the class. Back then, we did not have the means to google reviews, but it is good to be informed before entering an area of study. It is important to have some knowledge of what you will be spending time and money on. And if parents are paying—it would be good for them to understand what they are paying for—what their children will be exposed to-enging in. This includes the vocations of the Religious (Christianity, Islam …).

… many people do not see or understand the importance of staying true to what they agree to. James says let your yes be yes and your no be no, but too often, and I have been ‘victim’ to this more than once … people choose apart from what they promise—what they agree to. They say one thing but do another. They advertise to the world that they are ____, but behind closed doors, where they think no one can see them, they plot and misuse—sometimes even abuse

Paul states very clearly when he speaks on the gifts given by the Holy Spirit.

12 Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I would not have you ignorant.

2 Ye know that ye were Gentiles, carried away unto these dumb idols, even as ye were led.

3 Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed: and that no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Spirit.

4 Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit.

5 And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord.

6 And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all.

7 But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal.

8 For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit;

9 To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit;

10 To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another diverse kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues:

11 But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will.

12 For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ.

13 For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.

14 For the body is not one member, but many.

15 If the foot shall say, Because I am not the hand, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body?

16 And if the ear shall say, Because I am not the eye, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body?

17 If the whole body were an eye, where were the hearing? If the whole were hearing, where were the smelling?

18 But now hath God set the members every one of them in the body, as it hath pleased him.

19 And if they were all one member, where were the body?

20 But now are they many members, yet but one body.

21 And the eye cannot say unto the hand, I have no need of thee: nor again the head to the feet, I have no need of you.

22 Nay, much more those members of the body, which seem to be more feeble, are necessary:

23 And those members of the body, which we think to be less honourable, upon these we bestow more abundant honour; and our uncomely parts have more abundant comeliness.

24 For our comely parts have no need: but God hath tempered the body together, having given more abundant honour to that part which lacked.

25 That there should be no schism in the body; but that the members should have the same care one for another.

26 And whether one member suffer, all the members suffer with it; or one member be honoured, all the members rejoice with it.

27 Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular.

28 And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues.

29 Are all apostles? are all prophets? are all teachers? are all workers of miracles?

30 Have all the gifts of healing? do all speak with tongues? do all interpret?

31 But covet earnestly the best gifts: and yet shew I unto you a more excellent way.

Paul also says to put away the things of a child.

And The Parable of the Mina speaks powerfully on how gifts are to be executed.

11 Now as they heard these things, He spoke another parable, because He was near Jerusalem and because they thought the kingdom of God would appear immediately. 12 Therefore He said: “A certain nobleman went into a far country to receive for himself a kingdom and to return. 13 So he called ten of his servants, delivered to them ten minas,[a] and said to them, ‘Do business till I come.’ 14 But his citizens hated him, and sent a delegation after him, saying, ‘We will not have this man to reign over us.’

15 “And so it was that when he returned, having received the kingdom, he then commanded these servants, to whom he had given the money, to be called to him, that he might know how much every man had gained by trading. 16 Then came the first, saying, ‘Master, your mina has earned ten minas.’ 17 And he said to him, ‘Well done, good servant; because you were faithful in a very little, have authority over ten cities.’ 18 And the second came, saying, ‘Master, your mina has earned five minas.’ 19 Likewise he said to him, ‘You also be over five cities.’

20 “Then another came, saying, ‘Master, here is your mina, which I have kept put away in a handkerchief. 21 For I feared you, because you are an austere man. You collect what you did not deposit, and reap what you did not sow.’ 22 And he said to him, ‘Out of your own mouth I will judge you, you wicked servant. You knew that I was an austere man, collecting what I did not deposit and reaping what I did not sow. 23 Why then did you not put my money in the bank, that at my coming I might have collected it with interest?’

24 “And he said to those who stood by, ‘Take the mina from him, and give it to him who has ten minas.’ 25 (But they said to him, ‘Master, he has ten minas.’) 26 ‘For I say to you, that to everyone who has will be given; and from him who does not have, even what he has will be taken away from him. 27 But bring here those enemies of mine, who did not want me to reign over them, and slay them before me.’”

*Note: hard or austere “man” refers to one not given to solicitousness and nonsense. He is not of folly or forgetfulness. He has serious business that involve many lives and cannot afford to pay cowardliness and misuse of Mina. Abuse is forbidden, and lies (through deception) are an abomination. If one is given “gift” … one should stay TRUE to it. One cannot hide or deny this. What does happen is people of the stature of insubordination are found out, and the shame is on them. We don’t need to tell him that this happens often in the world. We see the dishonest, the abuser and the liar revealed, and when this comes out, the people are angry, dismayed … wounded …

But to come as the man in the Parable of the Lost Son … having realized the malfunction and dishonesty—desiring Maturity—is for the asking. We speak to the many professing Faith in a God of just means in the honor and glory on Truth … and not relying on the titles and denominations for this Character unto Peace. Man is too often selfish, seeing only what he thinks, hearing only in part if he hears at all, and not what is needed for the rise of the Movement. He lacks the sensibility to know right from wrong in the advent of the soul—what is needed here. He cannot see the scope and importance of “the many”, which is the greater number—instead, thinking himself, or his “idea”—opinion—principles—are the stonework. He may then find, after loss of gift, that he has not endured the “instruction” needed for the greater work—that which is greater than himself. He has not persevered despite being shown how this should be.

One is tested, you see, to make sure one is in agreement on what is required for this work.

And it is not hard to understand where in this passage man can be unfaithful, even to a place of extreme danger for many:

14 And no wonder! Even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light.

An illustration:

Lord says to Elijah … And it was so, when Elijah heard it, that he wrapped his face in his mantle, and went out, and stood in the entering in of the cave. And, behold, there came a voice unto him, and said, What doest thou here, Elijah?

Elijah flees Jezebel, but what does Jezebel represent in the story? She represents the challenge that accompanies the Gift … Jezebel is paradoxically, wisdom in instruction, and Elijah flees from her because he is afraid. Elijah is then told what to do for the renewing on the heart to the mind—that necessary partnering—before he can enter restitution.

History has shown us where man uses for his own convenience and purpose. Whether for Atheistic agenda or Christian agenda, Islam, Mormon —Political agenda … the evidence is there. Time and time again we see stories in the news where this person or that person was hiding behind a vocation—a profession—doctrine—but engaging differently … even criminally. Credentials, photos, party affiliations, marriages … are often lies, or merely a mask for something else. Also, what is alarmingly true is the huge number of instances where man is unaware of his condition. He is unaware because he has allowed himself to get caught up in emotion (touching on what we shared in previous essays on The Prayer of the Heart). He reacts through fear, and he acts on misinformation.

When this becomes an epidemic where man refuses to acknowledge its disease—–there is an eclipse.

Allow us to explore here …

There are two words that Americans (and other english speaking) use that we find terribly misused and misunderstood. These are orthodox and gnostic … and both, we view, and experience, as ACTIVE. Let us clear the air here and explain a little in the usage of these.

When I came into study of Eastern Orthodoxy, I came into the belief that orthodox meant correct or right behavior, and eventually saw this as “within” honest measure, or honest place of worth … and this was shown as personal endeavor. It was a coming into awareness of me—where I was and where I needed to be, and it required that I move, even if it meant I would be subjected to harassment, criticism even ridicule (this is Scriptural, btw). While on forums a few years ago (for the first time), I referred to myself as orthodox spiritual. This seemed a safe way to express my Faith without offending the Orthodox Christians 🙂  Later I learned that people thought “orthodox” was the ultra dogmatic of the Religious, and I saw to move away from using it. During the movement, I was brought to gnosis, and saw to say I am gnostic; however, recently I saw poor use of this and wondered where and how such weak understanding on these has been permitted to develop. I suppose if I stay with gnosis, and do not say gnostic, even with a small g and not a capital g … people might begin to understand that we are not referring to Religion as a SYSTEM of belief and practice, but a life growing—Spiritual LIFE affirming place.

Where we saw inconsistent and poor thinking on the understanding of “gnostic” recently was where a commenter used this to explain Adolf Hitler’s engineered philosophy for his regime of mass destruction. This struck me as misleading information, but I did look it up and found the following:

“National Socialism, the political philosophy of the Third Reich, is a unique phenomena in the history of political thought – paradoxically, because National Socialism is not strictly speaking a political philosophy.
National Socialism is not a political and economic ideology, because it is a gnostic-religious philosophy – a quasi-religion – a separate understanding of the cosmos – which, while looking to the future, has its roots in the distant, ancient past.
And the essence of the National Socialist ‘religion’ is Gnosticism.”

and …

Collective Aryan unconscious[edit]
“In the book Black Sun, Nicholas Goodrick-Clarke reports how Carl Gustav Jung described “Hitler as possessed by the archetype of the collective Aryan unconscious and could not help obeying the commands of an inner voice“. In a series of interviews between 1936 and 1939, Jung characterized Hitler as an archetype, often manifesting itself to the complete exclusion of his own personality. “‘Hitler is a spiritual vessel, a demi-divinity; even better, a myth. Benito Mussolini is a man’ … the messiah of Germany who teaches the virtue of the sword. ‘The voice he hears is that of the collective unconscious of his race‘”.[15]

Jung’s suggestion that Hitler personified the collective Aryan unconscious deeply interested and influenced Miguel Serrano, who later concluded that Jung was merely psychologizing the ancient, sacred mystery of archetypal possession by the gods, independent metaphysical powers that rule over their respective races and occasionally possess their members.[16] A similar esoteric thesis is also put forward by Michael Moynihan in his book Lords of Chaos.”

We do not need to delve into Gnosticism. Gnosticism is a Religion, and we are not of Religion, but our reason for not going there, especially for the purpose of this work, is because it contains faucets we find indelibly misleading, no differently than much of what we read on other Religious sects. Now … in the above, where it says that Jung characterized Hitler as an archetype, often manifesting itself to the complete exclusion of his own personality … we would change that last to “exclusion of his conscience”. Conscience holds something worth the ability to partner in correct behavior, but if [archetype] is left undiagnosed, it gathers momentum for something cataclysmic within the mind … as there is no caretaker to keep it from overdosing, suicide …

The ancient Mystics (and Prophets) knew of the “spirit” and how it can make and break. Many of these ancients of The Philokalia were gnostics, but not necessarily of a set Religion with calculated mandates born from a set of strict principles (dogma). A gnostic is one with his inner eulogy—a praise of death to his vain face that he might perform in the character of the new, which is also praiseworthy … but a praising of God in the Essence and Energy. If we could pick out any gnostic within the vein of the Prayer of the Heart, we would call attention to John Klimacus, and John Klimacus is no Adolf Hitler. Although we could say that some of the navel-gazers were a bit Hitleresque on themselves—going to extremes to eradicate ‘something’ they believed existed within that was of incorrect emotion or passion ………. reminding us of anti-bacterial soaps and antibiotics used to the point of eradicating some of the good bacteria that is needed to function within worthwhile purpose in certain places at certain times.

*Over the past 10 years or so, however, researchers have demonstrated that the human body is not such a neatly self-sufficient island after all. It is more like a complex ecosystem—a social network—containing trillions of bacteria and other microorganisms that inhabit our skin, genital areas, mouth and especially intestines. In fact, most of the cells in the human body are not human at all. Bacterial cells in the human body outnumber human cells 10 to one. Moreover, this mixed community of microbial cells and the genes they contain, collectively known as the microbiome, does not threaten us but offers vital help with basic physiological processes—from digestion to growth to self-defense.

What we are looking at here is “bacteria” that is not human, but needs the flesh to accomplish something it is born of, or born within … for a purpose … which leaves us to wonder how Religious justify their theology on what is VIRGIN and what is not virgin. Based on scientific findings of the human body, there is no such thing as a virgin—is there? if speaking of the flesh, unless the Religious wish to begin determining which bacteria is virginal and which is not? If they are speaking of the mind (man’s thoughts), and not the flesh … who can say what is virginal but God (this is Scriptural, btw). Has man made his theology his God?

Getting back to the austere man of the Parable of the Mina … one might say an austere place (within) for specific work is necessary for very important gifting. A surgeon doing surgery on someone with a brain tumor does not go in half drunk if he desires the best possible outcome. A parent of a student wants a teacher who abides by the rules he agreed to in being hired for the job. A parishioner wants a celibate priest to be celibate, and not serving the Sacraments in dishonesty. A person working any project wants his partner(s) communicative … and honest, to say the least.

If God chooses one to gift something important in His work, he wants to know this one is not just ready, but worthy of this work …  usually because it is something epic, something much needed … and he wants to be sure this one is willing to move to improve, and willing to accept criticism … rejection … and is not in denial of himself. If bacteria comes in for this work, Lord will only choose the one desiring a balance of diet (fasting-feeding …) for the work needed, and not one seeking selfishly.

We have said that “Gnosticism” is coming. It is. Variations are already seeded, and beginning to sprout, and this can take many forms—But how does one understand the differences (theologically speaking) and why do people fear the gnostic, which may not be boasting Religious affiliation? Why did the Roman Catholic Church and others use all methods available to try to eradicate the gnostic, and yet this continued to flourish in some of the monasteries in eastern mindset? some even claiming Christ as God?

The Roman Catholic agenda at times, including its inception, has been very much like Hitler’s engineered philosophy. If you read its precepts in pages under Chapter One, The Papal Reform Movement, The Christian East and the Rise of the Papacy by Aristeides Papadakis (in collaboration with John Meyerdorff) you see a “head” filled with a desire for power, and self-worth. Policy of the Politician can be of this same parenting. If Evil is its own dictator … how many of its mini me having ingested all kinds of self-aggrandizing theories are scattered about … just waiting for their colony?

The following are two articles to consider:

a bit of info on the United Independent Party:

    { Note: More than half of registered voters in Massachusetts are not affiliated with the Republican or Democratic parties.}

We posted the above to allow conscience to consider the spectacle .. and where people are not working to ASK necessary questions of those IN POWERFUL POSITIONS who often gang-rape in areas to get what they want for their own agendas

this is true of people sitting in the pews who do not ask the necessary questions of their priests, pastors, bishops and popes

why don’t I attend Catholic parishes? just like all other religious establishments, I would be rejected … why? for asking questions based on how I am used—through what is shown to me!
MY ART WAS CENSORED IN A CATHOLIC ABBEY IN PA BECAUSE THE PRIEST WAS AFRAID and terribly misinformed! not to mention his ego … and self-aggrandizing carriage …

think of how many people have been silenced and continue to be silenced … including those sexually abused in the halls of religious justice: their bishops, cardinals and popes
LOOK AT WHAT POPE FRAN WALKED AWAY FROM IN ARGENTINA! He has NOT answered those questioning him about the clergy sex abuse—HIS STAFF—what these men (and possibly women) did to the children!

When questions do not get answered (and my questions sure as heck did not get answered TRUTHFULLY in the religious establishments because many lied to save reputation and face) … when those in power positions bully the little ones … where are we in Unity?

***we would like to add that the decision of the summer olympics in boston is not just a MA issue; it is an AMERICAN issue … and ALL of America should be weighing in on this …
those of the patriotic venue as well as those interested in the health and well being of the citizens of the country
if —one has only to look at this from a view that our country is more of a free enterprise in nearly all aspects of society … in the climate of this day … what is at hand? what instigates? who/what desires who/what in something as BIG and EXPENSIVE as the olympics

GO FORTH AND MULTIPLY has everything to do with SPIRITUAL GIFTS—SPIRITUAL AWARENESS AND SPIRITUAL MATURITY! read the Parables of the NEW and get moving!

      After all, Jesus did say:

24 Then Jesus told his disciples, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me. 25 For whoever would save his life[a] will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will find it. 26 For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and forfeits his soul? Or what shall a man give in return for his soul?

man adds on all kinds of distractions to keep from doing what needs to be done in what Jesus says in the above passage. man runs from the real work … hides behind his marriage … lies about his faith … allows others to suffer … pays into a corrupt system … the big ad from the establishments … and he thinks himself safe from the ridicule and rejection …

but things have a way of turning over, and those dishonest are revealed for what they are
it’s time for the unveiling …

I had a couple of interesting dreams a couple of years ago … and it did not look good for the pope and it did not sound good for the politicians …

the religious and the politicians—brothers they often are—better start addressing the REAL problems!

David Cameron was correct in his announcement on what is a NATIONAL THREAT and this goes for the abuses happening in the schools, colleges and universities, churches/parishes, playgrounds, houses, institutions all over the the UNITED STATES and elsewhere …

—those using their positions for their own agendas will be found out—pushing agenda unfairly

an uprising is in its early stages and it will blow the house down if people in places of power don’t start behaving in a way that demonstrates transparency and honest measure

the SHAME will be on all those who hid behind false images … setting themselves up to look like something they are not

priests—bishops—cardinals—pastors (of all stripes)—popes—politicians and many, many others … including those behaving complacently in the pews, artists, writers, journalists … parents …

The bricks are fallen down, but we will build with hewn stones: the sycomores are cut down, but we will change them into cedars. Isaiah 9.10

this speaks on the biennial law of promiscuity in the courts of man (man laws, which include religion as it was from religion that law originates). one seeking to understand Spirit must understand its connection to the land, the seas, the animals … as THIS was before man’s articles (of even the cloth) … if one studies the movement of these … in correlation with man’s actions … he begins to see what needs seeing … and once he grasps (And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh?) this, and begins the partnering necessary for HEARING God’s Work (Spirit … which has everything to do with the ANGELIC) … then he might move into Peace (Understanding —-Church spoken of in Matthew—that ROCK).

maybe we should ask all the sheriffs and all those governing in cities, towns and villages of the world if there are any sex offenders in their ranks and other institutions. Think about it: sex offender (what a broad title that covers many sex offenses—right?) … there are a host of sex offenders in every dominion in the world! a woman can’t even walk down the street in many areas without being looked at as if she were something either offensive or to offend. many raists sit in the pews of churches … hmmm?
but what the sheriff is concerned about in his jurisdiction is the child sex abusers and child rapists … and he should be concerned. every parent should be concerned, but if a man is sitting in a pew where parents and other adults are present, and he is not permitted classes where he is with children that might provide him opportunities of temptation, or direct access to children then sitting in a pew is not hurting children—better that he be there, providing the preacher is not a sex offender (misogynist, racist, bigot …) and feeding the congregants improperly or indecently … and not looking for opportunities. it would be good to engage him in a way that keeps him and his mind in clear view.

just because a pope said, “oops, i think we might have a problem here; let’s look into this” …does NOT make it go away!!! men and women who aid these criminal acts because they care more about their titles and reputations are seriously unwell! think about it … bad parents? c’mon people, wake up!!!
delusional men in caps and gowns thinking they are somehow GOD’s chosen ???

***let’s start with one simple but very profound fact —HISTORY included:
okay, take this simple but profound fact and put it in the context of Scripture and what does this tell you? think outside your lavish halls of great expense, and where in Scripture is “woman” mentioned? And what might “woman” mean in Scripture … c’mon peeps … close your eyes from all those men and think what the SPIRITUAL LANGUAGE IS TELLING YOU … once you get this, the words take on a whole NEW meaning 😀

but you see, the Roman Catholic Church is NOT interested in Holy Scripture … these men are cleverly manipulating and positioning themselves to protect their investments, and to keep themselves from toppling and looking very much the fools that they are in their cute little gowns of great expense and all the heavy, heavy, HEAVY weight that they have accumulated over the centuries …
THEY MADE UP THEIR OWN DOCTRINE and called it God’s Eternal Word … we can’t change this! they say … the MEN (one-sided, partial—oh my!) mindset from ages and ages ago … when they thought what? where were the minds of these men back in the butchering and torturing days? when they thought the jews crucified Jesus … when they were full of what? could man’s mind actually have the full TRUTH while writing?

unbelievable … and people are actually hung up on this stuff?

However, we speak wisdom among those who are mature, yet not the wisdom of this age, nor of the rulers of this age, who are coming to nothing. But we speak God in a mystery, the hidden WISDOM which God ordained before the ages for our glory, which none of the rulers of this age knew; for had they known, THEY WOULD NOT HAVE CRUCIFIED THE LORD OF GLORY.

    But …
    it is written:
Eye has not seen, nor ear heard,
Nor have entered into the HEART of man
The things which God has prepared for
    those who LOVE Him.

But God has revealed “them” to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God.

Barack Obama gave a fine speech in Selma on Sunday, but to me there was something sad about it. It sounded a clarion that’s rarely heard these days: “When the trumpet call sounded for more to join, the people came – black and white, young and old, Christian and Jew, waving the American flag and singing the same anthems full of faith and hope.”

Quoting Isaiah as Martin Luther King, Jr. once quoted Isaiah, the president wound up with: “We honor those who walked so we could run. We must run so our children soar. And we will not grow weary. For we believe in the power of an awesome God, and we believe in this country’s sacred promise.”

This spiritual inclusivity perfectly exemplifies what the distinguished Italian scholar of totalitarianism Emilio Gentile defines as civil religion: the “sacralization of a political system” that guarantees “a plurality of ideas, free competition in the exercise of power, and the ability of the governed to dismiss their governments through peaceful and constitutional methods.” Gentile contrasts this with political religion, an “intolerant, invasive, and fundamentalist” faith employed as a weapon in partisan combat.

Truth to tell, it’s the latter that dominates American public discourse today — directed often enough at President Obama himself. His enemies portray him as unpatriotic, question his identity as an American and as a Christian, demand that he swear allegiance to their own brand of “American Exceptionalism.” As for his friends, they aren’t running, aren’t expecting their children to soar. They seem weary.

They may still believe in an awesome God, but this country’s sacred promise has grown hollow since that famous march 50 years ago.

the first comment to Mark’s article:

I am not sure that it is as much about “Exceptional-ism” as it is about core definition and identity.

Religion, for the most part, is true weaponry of the non-spiritual variety. It is more of the slick stuff used by both parties and more Americans than would be allowed were it left up to those who indeed have faith in God deeper than ankle.

The first thing a politician does upon entering the halls of Washington DC is to receive their inoculation for any spiritual connection to truth and integrity. They get just enough of it to keep from getting it. Now the pretension begins.
Their quoting of bible verses, dining with the priest, hob-hobnobbing with the preacher–all to garner votes and support… It is hollow and we know it.

President Obama, along with most politicians, stinks at theology. Better said, his speech writers stink. They miss ISIS, Christianity and the gamut of belief systems as they attempt to educate the populace of America. In so doing, Obama is creating his own brand of Christianity and Islam, demanding that we swear allegiance by “exercising his rights”. He, by many definitions, is portraying us as unpatriotic.

Politicians fake their faith when it fits their agenda. They revise the law book, and even the good book as it suits their need. They create their own brand of Religious Idealism and American Exceptional ism that is unrecognizable for too many, creating mistrust, fear and uncertainty. No wonder they have so many enemies.

Come on Mark, the intolerance is on both sides today. They are feeding one another.

When the President of the Oklahoma Fraternity says, “Martin Luther King is my hero.”, we know that something is off.

When our politicians quote Martin Luther the bible for personal gain…

“intolerant, invasive, and fundamentalist” Yep, that’s the Obama Administration alright, and they do seem weary. Hopefully, the truly spiritual pray for them and all of our politicians voted in to lead us.

who can deny the importance of what is written in this. man says what man wants to hear so often one can almost depend on it becoming the norm … which it is. and politicians and hierarchy are so often in damage control mode … how can there be a believing to the point of trust? we question how the president of the oklahoma univ didn’t know about what drink was being brewed in the institution …
how certain catholics don’t know what their clergy is engaging in …
how jp2 didn’t know his beloved macial maciel wasn’t a sick man …
how the parishioners don’t know their priests are not well—SPIRITUAL PEOPLE SENSE WHEN SOMETHING IS OFF …. they bring it up and what happens? they are too often denied, criticized and ridiculed … rejected
people live by the norm … which may not be orthodox—correct behavior.

obama does stink at theology. he does not understand HOW this works. that he brought up the crusades was an important step, but he did miss identifying the REAL problems. OR … maybe it was his writers who stink at theology, but we feel obama doesn’t “get it” either. this is not so much a criticism as it is a critique. artists get critiqued while in class … we are the class—yes? we are under the ‘rule’ of what these men and women tell/teach us. obama enters waters he has NEVER been in, so … he, too, is “in class” … having to learn. this is precisely WHY religion, or religious doctrine, does not have the full truth, more like glimpses of it. man puts his stamp on things because his INTENT FROM THE START is to CONTROL—take power. this is a big no-no … anyone with any SPIRITUAL AWARENESS knows something is really off in these first steps! the institutions reek of dishonesty and corrupt practices.

“Obama is creating his own brand of Christianity and Islam, demanding that we swear allegiance by “exercising his rights”. He, by many definitions, is portraying us as unpatriotic.”

this is interesting … we don’t care if people think we are ‘unpatriotic’ because that is manmade vitriol used for worldly sacrifice (what we call “the North” of mindset—see Acts of Holy Scripture where Peter’s VISION of the sheet-4 corners-is written—this is Prophesy). as spiritualists, we look to the worth of the partnering, and how this ignites for truth. too many in america are of varied “properties” … including the nonhuman bacteria serving within their flesh bodies—it is hard to ID one as being this or that if merely looking at what one party or one man views as patriotic or unpatriotic. each has his own understanding of HIS place on any given soil … not all are political or a religious politician. obama is a politician being pushed to speak about religion. james says let your yes be yes and your no be no. he should stick with what he knows, but it is okay if he shares FACTS IN HISTORY—he should stick to the facts that man understands (at least acknowledge) as historical … like: THE CRUSADES- THE INQUISITION DID HAPPEN! and what a mess—what a bloody, horrendous mess … is history repeating? know religion and you have your answer. know religionists and you have some answers.

      continued …

America is not our God. Religion, or its practices, including its Hierarchy, along with their Emperors, Saints, and “Intelligence” is not our God. We do not look to these for answers on Spirit. That man plays his affairs (marriages—marriage beds-wives-meaning LIFE CHOICES) using these as the blockbuster story and ANSWER to all the problems of the world is dim-witted to us. Two of the same are embroiled in warfare—each at different points of interest. Each using a bullet to extract information—advertise—and gather flock for attack all in the honor of their ‘god’ … whatever these may be.

if america is in a religious uproar then america needs a president with a fair understanding of religion and religious sects (of the time —that are instigating). religion as a seed of interference (both good and evil) will not die … the atheists thinking to rid the world of religion will free itself from the troubles of murder, attacks and “interference” pushes infantile agenda. he is in a state of delusion, and does not understand “what is religion” … just as he does not understand “what is GOD” .

“Pity? It was pity that stayed Bilbo’s hand. Many that live deserve death. Some that die deserve life. Can you give it to them, Frodo? Do not be too eager to deal out death in judgment. Even the very wise cannot see all ends. My heart tells me that Gollum has some part to play yet, for good or ill before this is over. The pity of Bilbo may rule the fate of many.”
    Gandalf quotes (from LOTR—Tolkien)

wendy is talking about RELIGION in this article … based on the comments, more than a few atheists confuse God with Religion, but, of course, we can’t expect them to know the difference if they have no God but self, or have never heard or experienced SPIRIT …
But how do they explain the nonhuman bacteria in their SYSTEMS? 😀
Now … allow us to compare two comments:
    1. an atheist says those who believe in God are ______ (degrading nouns/adjectives)
    2. someone makes a racial slur and loses his job, is cast out of society

It is one thing to call out hypocrisy, dangerous doctrine and … it’s another to demean and degrade those who are believers—who believe, for instance, that CHRIST LIVES WITHIN (as Paul states)

Atheists who say demeaning things about believers in GOD/SPIRIT better start getting their INTELLECT IN ORDER … because their day is approaching!

    • opheliart permalink

one can argue and debate religious/political theology … but can anyone make racial slurs about believers who truly BELIEVE self to be ______. Take the GAY … it is becoming increasingly unacceptable to say degrading and demeaning things about gays … WHY WOULD IT BE OKAY TO ALLOW PEOPLE TO MAKE DEMEANING COMMENTS ABOUT BELIEVERS?

next step …atheists get called out on their insulting rhetoric 🙂

      • opheliart permalink

we are entering a new understanding of belief—WHAT IS GOD …
Atheists and Religious would be wise to realize what this might mean

*note: organizations/institutions that allow demeaning words to be spoken about believers in God/Spirit will be held responsible no differently than when commenters make racial slurs
