The Irrefutable Mirage (part two)

February 9, 2015

To be honest, I have not given myself to reading much in the way of “conversion” in the Religious sense. Too many stories are foisted with the intent to bring people into a career of Religious Attribute. I understand why this is. I was to go through this briefly that I might feel what it’s all about from the perspective of a believer in a common practice initiated by theology , but it was for the purpose of Movement, and to challenge, even chastise, the Religious Establishments of this day, and in doing so … I am where I am. I did not see it—know its purpose—at the time, but I see it quite clearly now … because I moved forward. I was not to fully understand its purpose then because it needed to be authentic—honest in event. It could not be without innocence and sincerity. I was naive but not ignorant … or I would have remained and endured the abuse. I endured for the purpose of movement and to give rise to voice for that Paradox on Love, not for man’s feathered cap … no matter how proud he felt in casting out his ‘enemy’.

I was treated quite poorly (moving in an up and down place like a piston—having gone to a friendly high to a deeply troubling low) in four places of Religious sequestering. What came prior to these four was a building of a foundation that allowed me to see merit, dishonesty, truthfulness and poor parenting. While in these four Religious Establishments, I sensed inequality and denial, but not necessarily a denial intending harm to another, or even intending refusal of differences. I witnessed a poverty of Love, which, if within an impartial place of steerage, can be understood as a distancing from (of) God—Spirit.

Man created for himself an empty well.

How did it come to be this way for me? I know the cool hand of Spiritual Reason led me through these exercises that I might come into Understanding of this Love of mine. And yes, right or wrong in the eyes of other, I am entitled, even asked, to speak on this. No man can deny me this place. No title can deny this. No establishment can refuse us this carriage, and if this tears down the walls on the institutional hybrid of malaise and illicit commerce … then so be it. When Alfie and I started within VOICE of this, and I was shown SPIR and SPIRREALISM, the Spirit Art Movement, and what flowed from these in the writing and the painting, we knew that a calling out of hypocrisy and a lifting of the veil would be a part of the work, and that denial, fear and judgement would follow, because Doctrine wants to be right, especially when man has built his whole career on this within a set place of belief and practice. He is taught from his first day of the study of “something”, through a one-sided Religious lens that there are thieves, idolators, deceivers, wolves in sheep’s clothing that will come and attempt to lure him away from where he is to a new religion or some such thing. But what he has forgotten is that there is nothing new under the sun. There is no “new” religions. It’s all been done before. James says, “But above all, my brothers, do not swear, either by heaven or by earth or by any other oath, but let your “yes” be yes and your “no” be no, so that you may not fall under condemnation.” If aware in the essence of these words there should be no fear of falling under condemnation. But ask yourselves: Who has done the oath swearing? Who has set up rules and laws that keep some out and others in? Who has been the divider and the denier? Who has set himself up as the Doctrine of Truth, and sainted and martyred his own? Who has murdered, tortured, claimed absolution, idolized and worshipped his own, calling these holy, while demeaning and silencing others not like him in thought, belief, practice or art, without the awareness of the Almighty Arbiter as He is impartial? Who claims knowledge and claims “himself”, through interpretation, heretical analysis, and ordinations, the one true church of the Lord God Almighty … parading himself for all to see … while feeding himself before he feeds others? Paul says in a most clear and penitent voice:

Therefore, my brethren, when you come together to eat, wait for one another. But if anyone is hungry, let him eat at home, lest you come together for judgement.

You see, it’s not about me; it’s not about Alfred … this is not a solo venture … our stories do not brand or judge—victimize or demonize … and are not intended to stand alone for self-effacing attribute. The purpose of this Movement is to assist in that great need for HEALING—the absolute necessity for ALL to move out of the limited mindset of autocratic thought to a more elevated rise of INTELLECT (Nous: see what we started in Part One of The Irrefutable Mirage).

The truth is … no ‘one’ at any time has the fuller truth … as Prophesy, the Evolution of Man and God is an active place of consistent streaming—moving. The Spirit is not a stagnate place of redeeming quality, but an ever constant revolutionary voice of eternal awareness.

Religious Man fears gnosis because he cannot control its outcome. I experienced this is all four of the Religious Establishments where I was mishandled. I will not share the fuller details of these because it is not of our work (or Worth) to destroy reputations, unless one is asking for this. If asking for ruination—one gets it—and this is likely for the the betterment of millions, even billions of lives—should he/it be taken out of circulation. Look at the Clergy/Member Sexual Abuse that ruminates in the RCC, and has been a great danger to the lives of children for many centuries (we had heard it began escalating in the 4th c) and the Institution has not seen its disease, for its distancing from GOD is so great—it resides in darkness. Is it asking for removal? If it is incapable of seeing the causes of this disease—if it is incapable of realizing that it IS a disease, and a very serious one that has been going on for a very long time—and the Institution denies what is necessary to cease what fuels and feeds it—it must be destroyed. If it cannot see the need for IMMEDIATE attention, and the importance of putting all other interests aside to address what screams out as an abomination—an atrocity of great dimensions—it cannot be trusted to exist and must be abolished.

*(if of the Spiritual Understanding of the LANGUAGE of this in Holy Scripture, one gets the message, and has not the intent to twist and misuse the words for self-agenda, otherwise, it becomes a serious distraction, and this distraction must also be removed).

We use our experiences for the purpose of showing the poor in Spirit, who regard themselves within institutional establishment as inerrant, through organized religious placement and elaborate titles wearing elaborate cloth … and some with gemstones of great expense, and one should always wonder where and how these may have been acquired …

Allow us two comments by former seminarians sharing their experiences on a recent article at RNS (we added these in the comment section of the previous essay)

Chaplain Martin, Here’s the problem. From a very early age us Catholics are brainwash to believe that at the time of ordination to the priesthood an ontological change takes place in that person. This ontological change gives the priest the power to forgive sins. So, Catholics believe that there is no way for them to get to Heaven without going through a priest if they have committed a serious sin. If one believes that a priest is needed to attain Heaven, priests have enormous power over believers. The control they have over some Catholics unbelievable. Due to the deep indoctrination (brainwashing) it is very difficult to overcome this burden.

• Dear
Bishop Scicluna
My name is Kevin Deignan I was a junior seminarian at Mirfield with Mark Murray
. Mark has been in contact with you to seek help in closure for himself
after the sexual abuse he endured at the hands of Romano Nardo , and the
mental abuse he is still suffering through the inaction of the order. See blog:
I am trying to give Mark and his family as much support as they need to get
through these difficult times. To this end I decided to contact you.
Mark has battled
in isolation for over 20 yrs to reach closure for him and his
family. He has been thwarted at
every turn . Token gestures have been made
to placate Mark.
Protecting the order and giving sanctuary to
the abuser! .
telephoned you in Malta and you promised to make contact with the Pope about
his situation and report back – nothing happened. Also, nothing
happened, when Mark was waiting for a
promised meeting/conversation with you when you were in Scotland last
I have had little faith in the church in
matters of abuse within it’s ranks . There has been a lack of transparency and
a reluctance for independent investigation .
Nardo, who is still alive, and protected, in the Comkboni Missionaries
Mother House in Verona, exploited Mark and many others. Nardo would often
refer to passages from the bible to justify his sexual abuse: the washing of
Peter’s feet by Jesus would give him justification for intimate contact . The
words ” suffer little children who come unto me ” would take on a
completely different meaning .
I believe that you can bring pressure on the Comboni Missionaries to have
honest and meaningful dialogue with Mark.
family need peace. Mark needs peace.
Kevin Deignan

letter was sent to Scicluna 10 months ago – still no reply. Mark Murray —
o Father Romano Nardo, who is living in the Comboni Mother House, in Verona, has thwarted extradition by the British police because he is suffering from anxiety and stress — In his position – who would not be!!
He is still a priest. see web site:

Not only, is he still a priest – he is/was still around children and still preaching!!!

Now … would Gregory Palamas be proud of men and woman of such Religious fortitude? Would he be pleased to see them stand robed in the finest with so many under the tutelage of Christendom? Would he be happy with what he initiated? Would he see himself a saint? Does he answer when his worshippers call his name?

Where is Gregory Palamas? (besides on walls of many Eastern Orthodox Churches as ikons and printed as book marks sold in shops)

Here is where Gregory Palamas lives IF he is to BE alive. Once you become of the “understanding” of the purpose of the writings unto God—which is for the purpose of UNITING, and not a segregated, Holier Than Thou Establishment with Sacraments that do more harm than God … then you realize what is being said on the imagery—that SYMBOLIC venture intended for wealth of Spirit … and drawing closer to …

Volume Four, Text 27 …

To know that we have been created in God’s image prevents us from deifying even the noetic world. ‘Image’ here refers not to the body but to the nature of the intellect. Nothing in nature is superior to the intellect, for if there were then it would constitute the divine image.

Before one can understand what this is saying, one needs to understand what Palamas means by “intellect”. The following is from an interview with Bishop Ware (link provided).

In an interview, Bishop Kallistos Ware offered the following definition of nous or intellect: ‘Nous, in particular, is a very difficult word to translated. If you just say ‘mind’, that is far too vague. In our translation of the Philokalia, we, with some hesitations, opted for the word intellect, emphasizing that it does not mean primarily the rational faculties. The nous is the spiritual vision that we all possess, though many of us have not discovered it. The nous implies a direct, intuitive appreciation of truth, where we apprehend the truth not simply as the conclusion of a reasoned argument, but we simply see that something is so. The nous is cultivated certainly through study, through training our faculties, but also it is developed through prayer, through fasting, through the whole range of the Christian life. This is what we need to develop most of all . . ., something higher than the reasoning brain and deeper than the emotions.’

Before we share the rest of Text 27, we need to understand what is meant by “higher” intellect and deeper than the emotions. Everything in Scripture points to a moving upward: the Upper Room, the mountain as symbol (going to the mountain to pray), lift up your mat—Take up your cross … But no where in this do we see anything to be used as a crutch—including our feelings, those emotions that often gallantly parade us into and through our journey in life—often aligning here or segregating there. The story of the sick being told by Jesus to take up his matt and walk is not saying to use Religion, or title, name brand, theory, doctrine, practice or ritual, as his crutch, because he shows us the “pool” is not the the redeeming feature for his well being. He doesn’t need this if what?

The sick man answered Him, “Sir, I have no man to put me into the pool when the water is stirred up, but while I am coming, another steps down before me.” 8Jesus said to him, “Get up, pick up your pallet and walk.” 9Immediately the man became well, and picked up his pallet and began to walk. Now it was the Sabbath on that day.…

He does not even say specifically “what” is taken up and “what is of the cross”. Why? Because each is different. The SYMBOL remains the same, and is constant (a following), but man/human resides within places of personhood within understanding which varies from one to another. His experiences vary. Where man got himself into trouble is where he allowed his injury to pervade his spiritual exegesis—his “intellectual” interests verses what should be the “intelligent” interning. His misunderstanding of Christ as Savior loses its Symbol (the more redeeming/renewing feature) when it forgets what gave him its parent. In other words, where man loses touch with the “guiding principle” of Truth is when he left his LOVE, which would be the feast—our Thanksgiving (the Book of Revelations prophesies this on the Church of Ephesus). This is a GENERATIONAL place of common LANGUAGE. It is a SPIRIT LOVE, not a manmade ideology of what love should look like—be like—house—carry … Why? Because man is guilty of partiality within his experiences which harbor desire to measure others, define, even crucify others—which IS a crucifying of Christ.

39 When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’

40 “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’

41 “Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels.

42 For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink,

43 I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me.’

44 “They also will answer, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?’

45 “He will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.’

46 “Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life.”

God calls us to seek beyond manmade acclaim—beyond the piles of arbitrary counterfeits and questionable latitude. We are not teachers of the Word; we are purveyors. We go forth and navigate, but what happens when the ship gets too heavy—too weighed down with mental collusion and emotional liturgy?

    how quaint …
instead of sending him to the poverty stricken fields to work alongside all those catholic farmers with a dozen kids that he might learn the meaning of work, and what it’s like to feed so many that fill the pews … and get to know the lives of his laity that allowed him his materialistic desires … he gets to materialize the evangelical ‘suits’ for all their chronic religious. gee, is there a difference between what he was doing before and what he is doing now?

the vatican is in meltdown mode … they are without SPIRITUAL SENSE AND REASON … which is to say they are of a POVERTY OF LOVE.

pop-up fran sure has his priorities in “order”—
