Interview With A Guilt

April 9, 2013

If you were to paint the Great Witness, what would it look like? What if you were given an assignment to write its story, how would it read?

I was communing on Chapter Twelve in the Book Of Revelation, which begins … Now a great sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon at her feet, and on her head a garland of twelve stars. Then being with child, she cried out in labor and in pain to give birth.

Who is this woman? Some want to believe she is the Virgin Mary. I’m not sure why, exactly. What would this prove, other than to support claims of Mary as GOD, or a god. I truly understand where Mary might weep over this type of adulation and worship. She was not to be put on a pedestal of such magnitude and superiority, but I can see how easy it would be to use her to try to replace all of those ailing over lost childhood. Lost motherhood. Lost mother. Especially in a world of Patriarchal dominance.

To be clothed with the sun would present an image of great light, strength, and I would imagine, intense heat. It might even make one think of a coat of fire. Mary is hardly a coat of fire. But what is this sign? It appears as a sign of the Great Witness. The moon under her feet is the Evolution of Man. The light of the moon is a reflection of the light of the sun; therefore, this represents man as a reflection of the Father. The location is obvious, and the moon’s orbit is synonymous with life. The garland of twelve stars is the twelve lights in darkness, and these constitute Essence in Love: Man as Eternal Witness, should we be Virgin. And to be clear … virgin is understood as the man who answered Jesus by saying: You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind, and your neighbor as yourself. Luke 10.27

And then Revelation presents another sign: Behold, a great fiery red dragon having seven heads and ten horns, and seven diadems on his heads. This is History. The great fiery red dragon is History, or we could understand this as his story. The seven heads are the seven major Religions of History, each bearing its own binding in authority of the mind. The ten horns signify ten Rulers of Iniquity.

His tail drew a third of the stars of heaven and threw them to the earth. Four Truths are thrown to the earth. These four Truths are the same Four in Peter’s vision of Acts Ten. Then he became very hungry and wanted to eat; but while they made ready, he fell into a trance and saw heaven opened and an object like a great sheet bound at the four corners, descending to him and let down to earth. These Four are Understanding in the Word. These Four: North, West, South and East are heart, soul, strength and mind.

And the dragon stood before the woman who was ready to give birth, to devour her Child as soon as it was born. She bore a male Child who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron. And her Child was caught up to God and His throne. History stood before the Great Witness who was ready to give birth, to devour her Child. Child is Life. In John: Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. The rod of iron to rule all nations is the path, this journey in and of the Way. And her Child was caught up … And the Life of the Great Witness was caught up To God.

Then the Great Witness fled to the wilderness. The wilderness is symbolic of treachery. Where she has a place prepared by God, that they should feed her there one thousand two hundred and sixty days. She fled to be tested. The Great Witness is tested in Truth. The number of days is synonymous with the number of days a grape vine is in dormancy, and at certain times within dormancy, the vine gets pruned. The Spiritual Language inherent in this is wine representing Life in the Spirit.

Moving to Verse Thirteen …

Now when the dragon saw that he had been cast to the earth, he persecuted the woman who gave birth to the male Child. But the woman was given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness to her place, where she is nourished for a time and times and a half time, from the presence of the serpent.

This persecution from the dragon is denial. This would be denial of the Great Witness. The wings of the great eagle is undoubtedly the Presence of the Holy Spirit, where she, like a great winged bird returns to the nest for nurturing.

So the serpent spewed water out of his mouth like a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away by the flood. But the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened its mouth and swallowed up the flood which the dragon had spewed out of its mouth. The serpent spewed “insurgency” ( an uprising) after the Great Witness, that he might cause her to be taken for granted. But the Word of God devoured this flood of lies.

And the dragon was enraged with the woman, and he went to make war with the rest of her offspring, who keep the commandments of God and have testimony of Jesus Christ. And the dragon was enraged with the Great Witness, and he went to make war on those born of Witness.

Moving to Chapter 13 in Revelation …

Then I stood on the sand of the sea. And I saw a beast rising up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and on his horns ten crowns, and on his heads a blasphemous name. Now the beast which I saw was like a leopard, his feet were like the feet of a bear, and his mouth like the mouth of a lion.  The dragon gave him his power; his throne, and great authority. And I saw one of his heads as if it was mortally wounded, and his deadly wound was healed. And all the world marveled and followed the beast. So they worshipped the dragon who gave authority to the beast; and they worshipped the beast, saying, “Who is like the beast? Who is able to make war with him?”

Then I stood on the sands of time. And I saw a beast rising up. The beast is the product of History, his story. Bearing the same features. The Rulers have been crowned, and these carry a name of Spiritual Deception (examples would be Father, Lord, King…). His story gave him his power; his throne, and great authority. The three parts of the animals symbolizes unchaste fruit – fruits of the Spirit pertaining to the mind, the soul and the heart, and all three are capable of devouring Life. The mortally wounded head  that is healed is a result of having caused war on itself.  The healing demonstrates a learning from this. It is a scar symbolizing conflict.

And he was given a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies against God, to blaspheme His name, His tabernacle, and those who dwell in heaven. It was granted to him to make war with the saints and to overcome them. And authority was given him over every tribe, tongue, and nation. All who dwell on the earth will worship him, whose names have not been written in the Book of Life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.

And then I saw another beast coming up out of the earth, and he had two horns like the lamb and spoke like a dragon. And he exercises all authority of the first beast in his presence, and causes the earth and those who dwell in it to worship the first beast, whose wound was healed. He performs great signs, so that he even makes fire come down from heaven on the earth in sight of men. And he deceives those who dwell on the earth by those signs which he was granted to do in sight of the beast, telling those who dwell on the earth to make an image to the beast who was wounded by the sword and lived. He was granted power to give breath to the image of the beast, that the image should both speak and cause as many as would not worship the image of the beast to be killed. He causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads, and that no one may buy or sell except one who has the mark or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.

Here is wisdom. Let him who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man: His number is 666.

And I saw another beast … and he had two horns – a mayor and a governor – and these spoke with deception. And he exercises all authority of his story in his presence, and causes man and those who dwell in man to worship his story, whose self-inflicted wound was known. His signs are his ability to make this happen, and the fire coming down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men is knowledge of understanding (but less of an understanding of knowledge, or self-knowledge). He deceives by telling those who dwell on the man to make statues of men, and to worship in these (statues, monuments, government buildings, prisons …). These are granted authority to kill those who do not abide in man as stated by the men of his story. The mark on the hand or forehead refers to those who live by the law rather than by a Great Witness, for the Law of God is written in the Truth Prophet. The hand signifies rings, such as wedding rings, engagement rings, or title insignia rings and bands, and what is put to the forehead is a belief of oneself, which relates to practices in all forms of Religion. It is understood as putting himself on the forehead, choosing to rule from his own mind, apart from God.

And the last – that insidious number, 666 … is the number of the great divide between man and God, and can be understood in the growing pains of a child in Spiritual Warfare. This having to do with the soul, the mind and the heart.
